Can residents of Ukraine use Revolut?
Checked on 30 October 2026: Revolut says new account registration for residents of Ukraine is paused. Its help centre also describes the closure of existing accounts after a personal 60-day notice. Your deadline comes from your own email, not a single date for everyone.
1. Opening a new account in Ukraine
Residents of Ukraine cannot currently open a new account; the app offers a waitlist. Ukrainian citizenship alone does not determine eligibility abroad: check whether your actual country of residence is supported and which residency documents Revolut requires.
2. When an existing account closes
Revolut counts 60 days from the first personal notification email. The account can be used during that period, with restricted functionality afterwards. Check your notice and the app for the deadline that applies to you.
3. Withdrawing money and saving statements
Before your deadline, withdraw remaining funds and download statements through Home → More → Statements. After the notice period, remaining eligible funds can be withdrawn only by external bank transfer; incoming payments are rejected and returned. A compliance review must still be completed before restricted funds become available.
4. Crypto, refunds and pending transactions
Revolut says crypto withdrawals are unavailable in Ukraine: non-fiat assets must first be sold and the fiat balance withdrawn to an external bank account. Check pending refunds before closure because later refunds and chargebacks are returned to the sender. Follow the instructions in your Revolut account.
5. Moving to another country
An account cannot currently be reopened in Ukraine. Revolut says a new account can be opened after moving to a supported country and providing valid residency documents. Confirm eligibility with Revolut before making plans.
