1K EXCHANGE AML/CTF POLICY
This policy defines risk-based customer identification, transaction analysis and controls preventing unlawful use of the service.
1. Definitions
KYC means customer identification. AML/CTF means controls against money laundering and terrorist financing. Source of Funds evidence confirms lawful origin.
2. Customer identification
Depending on amount, direction and risk, the service may request an identity document, selfie, address and source-of-funds evidence.
3. Transaction screening
Crypto addresses and transactions may be screened for sanctions, scams, stolen assets, mixers and other risk indicators.
4. High risk
A high-risk transaction may be suspended until explanations and documents are provided. The service may refuse the request.
5. Sanctions
The service does not support prohibited jurisdictions, sanctioned persons or transactions that violate applicable law.
6. Refunds
High-risk assets may only be returned after review and to an AML/CTF-compliant destination.
7. Data retention
Verification materials are protected and retained for the period required to meet service obligations.
